Covid-19 Update (3/17/20)
Greetings in the Grace of God,
First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church sees our mission, in part, as assisting our members and neighbors in living an abundant and healthy life. The scriptures tell us not to fear. Psalm 46:1-3, '1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change, though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea; 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble with its tumult.' Since God is our refuge and strength we can put our fear aside. Consider that fear produces stress on the body and makes us more susceptible to illness. Take a deep breath, and let it out.
At our Session meeting, we had a frank discussion about what our role as a church is in this time and place. With the increase of the spread of the Coronavirus across our nation and increasingly our state, we feel that following the advice of the Center for Disease Control makes sense. We are therefore asking you to prayerfully consider following that same advice.
In that light, the Session has elected to suspend our gatherings. At the present time, the following are cancelled:
Vacation Bible School
Get ready for Who Is My Neighbor? vacation Bible school, where children will learn about neighbors near and far! Fun activities will help Bible stories come to life and lead children deeply into Scripture focused on God’s care and compassion for neighbors close at hand and around the world.

Online Giving
The mission of FWUPC is very important to our congregation and part of that mission is funded by our generous members and friends. In order to facilitate our often busy schedules we have partnered with the Presbyterian Foundation to provide electronic payment services. Clicking on the link will take you to our secure on-line giving interface. There you can make a onetime donation or set up a schedule of giving. All donations go to the FWUPC General Fund. If you would like to make a special donation please speak to the Pastor. Thank you for your generosity.
